Meet Dr. Elrod
Dr. Rebecca Elrod is a native of Jasper, Georgia and she has always had a passion for animals. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Berry College in Rome, GA. While at Berry College, Dr. Elrod worked at the college’s dairy farm and gained a passion for farming and ruminant medicine.
Dr. Elrod then went on to complete her Doctorate Degree at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in June of 2022, with an emphasis on Mixed Animal Medicine.
Dr. Elrod enjoys the pace of general practice, with her passions being bovine and small ruminant medicine, soft tissue surgery, and general wellness care. She is thrilled to continue bringing her knowledge and skill set to her home area, where she can provide quality veterinary care to both large and small animal patients.
Since joining our team, Dr. Elrod dove headfirst into patient care. She loves being on the road, tending to our ruminant patients, and providing much needed surgical care for all species.
Dr. Elrod’s husband is an engineer, and they are both thrilled to be living in the mountains with their four dogs and an abundance of chickens.
