Big Bear Veterinary Clinic is located in the beautiful small town of Hayesville, within the Great North Carolina Mountains. Big Bear Vet is the one and only veterinary clinic within Clay County and serves the entire Tri-State Area, including Western North Carolina, Northwest Georgia and Eastern Tennessee.

Established in October of 2020, Dr. Kayla Lawlor created Big Bear Veterinary Clinic in order to provide much needed veterinary services for both small and large animals within our wonderful rural community. It was no mystery that Clay County was growing; who doesn’t love the mountains? Dr. Lawlor knew that pets and their owners desperately needed a veterinarian that would be committed to their pet’s care, and to be there when it counted most.
