Faith Woody, Veterinary Assistant at Big Bear Veterinary Clinic

Faith Woody

“My favorite part about the work I do at Big Bear Vet is taking care of the animals and being able to put my passion and love for animals to use by helping animals in need.”

Meet Faith

Faith is a small-town county girl who was born and raised here in Clay County. Since she was a little girl, Faith has always been gifted with an innate ability to care for animals. Faith is deeply passionate about large and small breed animals and has worked with them her whole life.

Faith started working at Big Bear Vet in September of 2022, after reaching out to Dr. Lawlor via email to see if there was an opportunity for her to work after school or on the weekends to gain experience within the field. Dr. Lawlor has always wanted to help the younger generations that are interested in the field, and so, along came Faith.

Faith is no stranger to hard work, and she definitely shows that in everything she does. She helps maintain the clinic space to ensure everything is clean and stocked. She is also starting to grow in her knowledge of veterinary basics, such as getting accurate histories and taking vitals on patients during appointments. Faith continues to improve each time she is in the office and has a willingness to learn anything that is thrown at her. We are happy to have her on our team and we look forward to watching her grow.

In her free time, she loves working her horses and competing locally. She is known for the many barrel races she has attended and won, along with competing in several rodeos. She doesn’t shy away from hard work and helping any way she can. When she isn’t helping her father manage their herd of beef cattle, she is working on finishing her high school career to pursue a veterinary assistant certification.

We can't wait to meet your fur baby!
