After Hours Care

We know how important our pets are to our lives. We also know how stressful it can be when your pet is sick, especially during odd hours or on the weekends, when most veterinary practices are not open. At Big Bear Veterinary Clinic, we are committed to our patients’ care, whether it be routine wellness or that middle of the night emergency that arises.

We have a veterinarian available twenty-four seven, 365 days a year, if an urgent need arises for one of our patients. Our clients should call the emergency number and leave a detailed message with what is going on. In most instances, you will receive a call back within 30 minutes. If you do not receive a call back within this time, you should call again and leave another message. It is likely that if we have not returned your call within 30 minutes, that we are working on an emergency already and we will contact you as soon as possible.

In order to utilize our emergency services, you must be an active client, meaning that you have been established with our clinic, receive your routine health care and vaccinations from our clinic and stay up to date on your preventative care. Please do not wait for an emergency to arise. Everyone should have an established veterinarian and an action plan in place if an emergency arises.
